Joe Sostarich brings years of entrepreneurial experience as well as a breadth of knowledge about bringing start-up companies to profitability. Joe began assembling his extensive resume with Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company, where he served as Tax Director.
He later became special projects director for British American Tobacco Company, where he obtained over $100 million in tax credits. During and after his service to British American, he headed a consulting company whose clients included Saks Fifth Avenue, Marshall Fields, Kohl’s and Appleton Paper Co.
In 1999, Joe co-founded ZirMed Inc., a healthcare services company that currently employs over 300 people generating multi-millions in revenues and profits. Joe had an opportunity to acquire the intellectual property of an Arizona company, and he founded MedX12 to bring that property to the marketplace. Presently, MedX12 is selling electronic health records and practice management systems to physicians.
Joe acquired a charter agency license with Derby Agency. This license brings other agents in to sell products of MedX12. This is bringing extraordinary cost savings to companies both inside and outside the medical field. He and four others partnered, founding New Generations Benefits Partners. The “G” factor, or greed factor has been taken out, cost savings passed on to the plan sponsors. The experience and knowledge of the principals is the key to navigating through the cost and regulations of the new healthcare laws.
